ISO and ASTM Standards

At Pristine Diesel we are very proud that we surpass all ISO and ASTM fuel requirements. We are able to remove contaminants down to 1 micron and remove all water and moisture to 50 parts per million (PPM) Well surpassing all standards. ISO and ASTM standards

A note from the International Organization for Standardization

ISO 12/9/6

For diesel to be recognized as ‘clean’ the fuel must contain less than 200ppm of dissolved water (as indicated by EN 590) and a particulate cleanliness level of 18/16/13 (as stated by ISO4406:2017). Some engine manufacturers using the latest in high pressure common rail system even require a fuel cleanliness rating of 12/9/6.

Engine manufacturers are realizing diesel fuel cleanliness can have great impact on overall engine performance. In fact, many are now recommending diesel fuel that does not meet an ISO Cleanliness Code of 18/16/13 should be filtered before introduction to the fuel system

FAQs

Can you bring your equipment to our facility? Yes we have portable units that are able to go in to a generator room or any other hard to reach area.

How long does it take? That depends on if its a 10,000 gallon fuel tank for a industrial generator or 800 gallons in a  AST. Amazingly every job takes about one day. the time to set up and break down is time consuming. We normally dedicate one full day for each job.

How much fuel can you clean in one day? Conservatively we can filter and clean 10,000 gallons in one day but if we are already set up we can double that in one long day.

Do you do anything else besides fuel polishing? Yes  we also...

Do fuel Sampling and testing

Add fuel additives like Biocide & Stabilizer

Replace Fuel lines

Primary filter installation as in Racor housings

Replace Racor filters,

Install vacuum gauges

Install drain valves

Racor rebuilds cleaning ect

Replace gaskets with Nitrile (buna-n) gaskets

Check for required signage

Replace fill cap seals

and always do a Free Engine room check

What is the cost? It's very inexpensive compared to a blown injector or a cracked head. Prices start at $650 and go up. The average price  is about $1200. Please look at our price list or call for an estimate. We will never sell you anything you don't need, and we believe we are the most honest company you will find
